Supplements and Trace Elements
12 productsSupplements and trace elements stabilize KH, Ca, Mg and replenish microelements (K, Sr, I, Fe, Mn, etc.) consumed by corals and coralline algae. Essential for growth, colors, and health in reef and fish-only with corals tanks.

Macro & trace: KH buffers stabilize alkalinity; calcium and magnesium support calcification. Trace elements (K, Sr, I, Fe, Mn…) are dosed in small quantities to support metabolism and pigments.
Dosing methods: manual (daily/weekly), 2/3 part “Balling” systems with dosing pumps, low-maintenance all-in-one, or single element for targeted corrections.
Recommended checks: monitor KH (e.g., 7–9 dKH), Ca (400–450 ppm), Mg (1250–1350 ppm) and, periodically, perform ICP tests to balance trace elements. Increase doses in steps (5–10%) observing corals and nutrients.
Good habits: use reverse osmosis water for water changes, do not mix different brands/methods in the same tank, do not add supplements to top-off water unless it's a dedicated formula. Shake bottles and record doses/values in a consistent log.
Tip: choose only one method (e.g., 2/3 part) and find the consumption by measuring KH daily for 5–7 days: set the dosing pumps to that requirement and refine weekly. For trace elements, calibrate with ICP instead of "eyeballing it".
