For the very first time in an Underwater film, Danny Fairbrass hands over the rod, leaving Tom Dove first, and then Ali Hamidi, to take the reins and put their tactics to the test in front of the underwater cameras. Needless to say, this leads to some of the most compelling and engaging footage ever created in the world of carp fishing. The famous residents of St Johns also play their part, and we rediscover old acquaintances like Gums, The Box Common, and the big and small Plated mirrors.
The guys try out their favorite tactics, and to say the results were surprising would be an understatement! Every missed opportunity and every ejected bait are captured, as Tom and Ali try to anticipate the moves of their wary prey, refining and developing presentations to catch more carp. They learned a lot during the filming of this epic adventure, and you too can benefit from it with your copy.
Just like in Underwater 7, Part 8 also concludes with the capture of another member of St Johns' "A-Team," thanks to a rig whose effectiveness surprised the entire team!
