I personally would use both smooth and textured leads because our underwater footage shows that both have excellent camouflage properties."

So, what are the advantages of a textured lead?

Well, the coating is dull and simply won't reflect light in the same way traditional coated lead does. The rough finish will pick up sediment from the lakebed, which will add a delicate overall effect. In fact, these leads get better and better with use! The characteristics that allow the leads to pick up sediment will also allow them to absorb flavors, poured liquids, or dips. If you leave a couple of leads soaking in Goo, you will definitely add an additional dimension of attraction to them.
