The green version of the Long Chuck Tapered Mainline has been added to the Long Chuck family for those anglers who prefer a coloured line over the standard clear.
Long Chuck Tapered Mainline was designed for distance casting in situations where you want to fish directly without a leader knot, particularly useful in weedy venues where weed can collect around your knot and cause issues with rod tip wraps.
Long Chuck Tapered Mainline Green comes on a 300m spool, and at either end it features an 8m section of 0.47mm (30lb) diameter line designed to absorb the force of casting, as well as offering good abrasion resistance when playing fish, and a 2m tapered section which steps down to the diameter of your chosen mainline.
It is equal at both ends, so if you ‘crack off’, you can simply reverse the line on your spool and re-use it.
Long Chuck Tapered Mainline Green features all the same properties as the Long Chuck line, with ultra-low stretch to help with rod compression (heavy mono is typically quite stretchy and hinders casting); low water absorption; lightweight for its breaking strain; and a high breaking strain to diameter ratio to reduce drag.
