The new Long Chuck fishing line has been specifically designed for long-range fishing, and will add extra distance to your cast compared to a standard monofilament. It has low stretch to allow for faster compression of your rod, very low water absorption and allows you to feel the lead at range or in a crosswind. That low water absorption also helps ensure that the line is lighter and stays in the air longer, thereby helping to reduce drag on your lead during the cast, but the most important factor in achieving this is the fact that the line is colourless – adding a dye to standard mono actually increases the weight and alters the molecular structure with increased stretch, which means that coloured lines don’t achieve such distances. Long Chuck also features a high breaking strain to diameter ratio, which significantly reduces both drag and line weight, compared to an equivalent breaking strain: 10lb equates to 0.27mm; 12lb to 0.30mm; 15lb to 0.33mm; and 20lb to 0.40mm. It comes on 1,000m spools.
