This pattern is the brainchild of Tom Dove, who was looking to design a hook pattern that would feature an aggressive and strong Kurv Shank, with a large gap for maximum hold and hooking potential. Add in the curved point and you have the Krank, a hook that hooks so well that it's best used with a simple knotless knot rig! Tom had simple rigs in mind, such as his 'Muzza', when he started the development process, but the final product is a much more versatile monster that ensures you will not only hook more fish, but land more of them too!
