KORDA FLAT SWIVEL PEAR
Pear-shaped lead with swivel.
1) Carefully tapered rear section.
• reduces the risk of snagging with this lead, despite its wide shape making it prone to this type of inconvenience. If you intend to fish at long range in a weed-rich bottom, you should opt for the Inline Flatliner pyramid lead, but if your fishing spot is close to the bank and you want to enjoy the benefits of the 'pear', you can choose the latter. In any case, it will certainly be better than any other similar lead on the market because at Korda every small detail is refined to perfection to always give you the maximum.
2) Flat top and bottom surfaces.
• This feature makes it the best lead for Bolt Rigs as it remains stable on the bottom even when the carp takes the bait. In this situation, the lead avoids rolling, offering its full weight to the pull and creating an immediate self-hooking effect.
• Thanks to its stability, it allows you to fish close to the bank on ledges, near obstacles or in proximity of holes, without the risk of snagging. It is also excellent, logically, for fishing in waters with particular currents that could make it roll.
3) Flattened pear shape.
• This particular design shifts most of the weight forward, further increasing the self-hooking effect and reiterating the effectiveness of this lead. Long-range casting is certainly penalized by its poor aerodynamics, and it is no coincidence that the most experienced carp anglers prefer it for medium and short ranges, relying on the Inline Flatliner for reaching very distant positions from the bank.
4) Swivel semi-fixed in the internal rigid insert (sliding).
• Creating perfect Bolt-Rig setups has never been easier. Simply pass the line through the internal insert, tie a swivel of appropriate size (Korda swivel no. 8) to it, and then push it into the lead. The fact that the swivel is inside the lead, and more precisely at the point of greatest concentration of the lead's weight, ensures the perfect functioning of the Bolt Rig, as self-hooking is immediate in this way.
• In the event of line breakage after hooking, the swivel can exit the lead, freeing the carp from its weight. This is because, thanks to the hardness of the insert walls, it does not get stuck inside the lead.
• By using swivels of different sizes, you can adjust the tension with which the Bolt-Rig will detach from the lead.
5) Large internal diameter of the rigid insert (sliding).
• Allows the passage of the shockleader knot through it in case of line breakage after a bite. When constructing the rig, it is advisable to check that the knot passes easily first through the anti-tangle tube (Rig Tubing) and then through the internal insert of the lead, all to safeguard the health of the carp.
6) Berkeley swivel no. 7 independent from the lead (with swivel).
• The adoption of this round eye swivel allows for the construction of extremely robust Helicopter rigs.
• The large eye allows the line to slide through it, ensuring excellent functionality when using Running Rigs (sliding rigs).
• The fact that the swivel is not directly attached to the lead, but to the fixed brass attachment, means that the line continues to slide freely within the eye regardless of the position assumed by the lead while fishing.
7) Brass attachment fixed in the lead (with swivel).
• The part of this attachment inside the lead ends with two 90° angled feet that prevent it from coming out
