Using an innovative quick-release clip on the tail set prior to casting, once the main line tightens to the reel spool clip, the Dot Spod Air Drop opens to allow the bait to be spread widely in front of it. The empty Dot Spod falls silently to the surface well short of the area being baited, almost eliminating spod impact noise and maximising the sound of bait hitting the surface over a wide area above the spot.
