The first indication system designed to embrace modern carp fishing, the Siren R4 is the new standard for precise and responsive indication, whether you're fishing a heavily pressured English lake or a large expanse of European water. Never before have so many advanced features been packed into a single alarm.
Taking Kevin Nash's market-leading and exclusive "speed difference" indication concept from the R3s, the R4 offers levels of control and functionality that put the angler in direct contact with the rig on the bottom, in a way never seen or felt before. Intelligent Sensing has been made even smarter.
SENSITIVITY
In practice, the R4 will respond to every type of indication caused by carp in any environment. The detail of the available sensitivity settings is not as important as the final result: despite rod tips moving due to weed buildup or wave action over thousands of acres of water, the R4 will tell you everything you need to know without you doing anything. Never before has an alarm been able to exclude unwanted events that cause false indications.
Roller Wheel Sensing - Roller Wheel Sensitivity
The R4's factory setting is standard line movement detection through the roller wheel. Although superseded by Speed Sensing, it also has specific applications for winter ice.
Speed Sensing – Speed Detection
Two levels of speed detection that respond faster to line movement at 1cm and 2cm per second respectively, eliminating false indications. Both settings are equipped with the innovative Drift Sensing Safeguard.
Wave Sensing – Wave Detection
Two additional sensitivity settings feature Wave Sensing technology to eliminate false indications caused by waves or when fishing from a boat. Events are reported with fast movements of 1cm or 2cm per second and after 15 or 30cm of forward and backward roller wheel movement. Both detection settings also feature the Drift Sensing Safeguard functionality.
Drift Sensing Safeguard
Another exclusive, the R4's Drift Sensing Safeguard protects against the rare possibility of line coming off the spool due to, for example, weed buildup on the line, when pressure and line movement are insufficient to activate the Speed Sensing system.
Drop Back Sensing – Line Drop Back Detection
All R4 sensitivity settings feature a line drop back alert, with a decreasing tone to differentiate it from the run tone.
Guiding Light – Guiding Light
The original "homecoming" mode is the ace up the R4's sleeve, designed specifically for anglers using boats, who find an LED located on the back of the alarm that, when illuminated, provides a reference point for navigating back to shore during night hours.
Night Glo
To complement the launch of the revolutionary R4 alarms, the new range of Night Glo indicators connects directly to the R4 alarms to illuminate, thanks to the LED, the Night Glo Bobbin head or the Swing Arm head whenever the alarm gives a visual indication. The indicator bodies are coordinated with the R4 alarm's LED color options, with an additional option for black indicators with a white LED light.
