A domestic system for producing virtually pure water, totally free of mineral salts (therefore, conductivity and TDS are zero), which is ideal for use in an aquarium, whether freshwater or marine.
The system consists of 3 successive stages:
- 5-micron transparent sediment cartridge: removes suspended particles, rust residues, and particulate matter from the water; replacement is recommended every 6 months or 3000 liters of produced water; the transparency of the container allows the user to constantly monitor the wear of the cartridge
- Activated carbon cartridge: removes chlorine, heavy metals, pharmaceutical or pesticide residues, and other substances potentially harmful to the aquarium from the water; it is also recommended to replace it every 6 months or 3000 liters of produced water
- Vontron membrane: specifically developed for use in domestic systems, the ULP1812 series membranes are designed for treating low salinity water, such as that flowing through our aqueducts.
Working at relatively low pressures, the ULP1812s are perfectly suited for use in domestic systems, and particularly for those producing osmotic water for aquariums.
Flush Valve for membrane cleaning:
The system is equipped with a valve that allows for regular membrane maintenance, extending its average lifespan.
Simply turn the valve knob to cause the waste water to re-enter the vessel and exit where the permeate normally exits; in this way, the membrane undergoes a flushing process that improves its operating conditions.
Included in the package are:
– tightening wrench for easier screwing of the cap of the container where the membrane is located
– water supply connector with 3/4″ female thread (washing machine connection)
– 5mt of 3/4″ white tubing
