OCEANLIFE AQUA TEST KH

This test allows for simple and precise measurement of carbonate hardness (KH) in marine water.
Knowing the KH level in a marine aquarium is vitally important for our corals. Calcium and KH are fundamental for the construction of the calcareous skeleton and for the stability of the entire tank.
The ideal value to maintain in the aquarium is 8 - 9 dKH.

The test provides a resolution of 1 dKH, and the kit allows for up to 50 measurements with water at KH 8.

Tips & Tricks
Ultra-precise measurement
It is possible to further increase the test resolution by putting 10 ml of aquarium water in the test tube instead of 5 ml. This way, the test will have a resolution of 0.5 dKH!
Measuring the output of calcium reactors
It is possible to measure the KH value at the output of calcium reactors with lower resolution but with reagent savings. To do this, put 2.5 ml of reactor water in the test tube; this way, each drop of reagent measures 2 dKH.
For even lower resolution, put only 1 ml of reactor water in the test tube; this way, each drop of reagent will measure 5 dKH.
