Low temperatures but still catches!!
Here are the 5 essential rules:
1) Don't overbait; carp digest very slowly in cold water. It's worth baiting regularly but in small quantities.
2) From October onwards, locate where carp are holding; generally, these areas are not far from their winter holding areas.
3) Look for deep areas, places where the current is reduced. Even in the heart of winter, there are areas where the water is at least 4°C. Water always freezes from top to bottom.
4) Carp move very little in winter. Don't hesitate to move until you see the first bites.
5) The feeding phase is very short in winter, and fishing during periods of low pressure is often rewarded.
Carptrack Cold Water Boilies have been specially designed for use in the period from November to April when water temperatures are very low, below 12°C. The mix base is always the same, but reinforced with hyper-soluble elements that allow our boilies to be very attractive and work well despite the low temperature. Our team members, like our customers, trust Carptrack Cold Water boilies and are often rewarded with good catches, even when frost covers the lakes.
