💡 Expert tip: The MultiClear 5000 is the ideal solution for small ornamental ponds with goldfish or common fish. Not suitable for koi carp: koi are large fish with a very high organic load — a much larger capacity filter is needed for a pond with koi. Replace the UVC lamp every 12 months to maintain maximum effectiveness against floating algae, even if it visually still appears to be working. The PondoVario 1500 pump is perfectly sized for the filter's flow rate: do not replace it with more powerful pumps to avoid reducing the contact time of the water with the filter media and the UVC chamber.
