Our KOMBAT BOOTS were designed by Danny Fairbrass with the inclusion of some extra features to make them perfect for anglers.

Danny Fairbrass explained: “They are based on a high-fashion boot I bought in Italy a few years ago at a much higher cost. They have leather uppers with a waterproof membrane inside, so they are fully waterproof.”

They were designed with comfort and functionality in mind, as well as their use on the banks. They have excellent waterproofing qualities, which is essential when walking through wet grass or ending up with your feet in water or puddles, as wet feet quickly get cold and can ruin your session. The soles were designed with grip and durability in mind, and the tread offers excellent grip on all types of surfaces encountered while fishing, helping us avoid slipping.

Kombat boots are also great for long walks, providing support without being too stiff, and you hardly notice you're wearing them! Many boots can be difficult to put on and take off quickly, but these were designed specifically for the angler and are open so they can be put on quickly when you get a run in the middle of the night. Another problem with some boots is that they come untied easily, which not only means you have to keep re-tying them, but it also means they end up in the mud with the potential risk of tripping you. Kombat boots, on the other hand, have flat laces to ensure this doesn't happen and that they stay securely tied.
