Crimping is the best solution for creating neat and strong connections, especially when using stiffer and/or thicker materials that can be difficult to knot. This technique also ensures you always achieve the correct rig length, which is particularly useful for chod rigs. The double-barrel crimps have been designed for use with a wide range of different hooklink materials. When used in conjunction with Korda's Krimp Tool, they provide a consistently reliable connection. The choice of crimp size should be based on the type of hooklink: if it's too large, it might slip and not stay in place. Size S (0.6 mm) is suitable for materials such as Mouth Trap, 25 lb/11 kg Boom, or even stiff coated braids like Hybrid. Size L (0.7 mm) is suitable for super stiff materials such as 35 lb/16 kg Boom or ultra-heavy monofilament lines. Each pack, with a resealable lid to prevent the crimps from spilling out, contains 50 pieces.
