Korda Basix Wide Gape Barbless

The BASIX Wide Gape hook has been designed as the perfect all-rounder, which can be used straight out of the packet for a wide variety of rig presentations, and without the need to add lots of other components, whether you are fishing with bottom baits, pop-ups or wafters. The aggressive inturned eye helps to ensure that the hook flips and takes a hold, without the need to add any extra Kickers or shrink tube. It is made from our ‘X’ gauge wire, so it is suitable for use both in the UK and abroad, due to its strength, and has a discrete black nickel finish. The point has been designed to last a long time, and you can catch multiple fish on the same hook before it needs to be changed – each time you cast out, just check it is still sharp and change it if it isn’t. Its shape is based on the incredibly effective original Wide Gape, which has been responsible for catching countless big carp over the years. BASIX Wide Gape hooks are available in barbed and barbless versions in sizes 2, 4, 6 and 8. Each pack contains ten hooks.
