Korda Basix Wide Gape

The BASIX Wide Gape hook has been designed as the perfect all-rounder, which can be used straight out of the packet for a wide variety of rigs and without the need to add lots of other components, whether you are fishing with bottom baits, pop-ups or wafters. The aggressive in-turned eye helps to ensure that the hook flips over and catches hold, without the need for additional Kickers or shrink tube.

It is made from our ‘X’ gauge wire, so it is suitable for use both in the UK and overseas, thanks to its strength, and it features a subtle black nickel finish. The point has been designed to be long lasting and it is possible to catch multiple fish on the same hook before it needs changing – whenever you cast out, just check it is still sharp and change it if needs be. Its shape is based on the incredibly effective original Wide Gape, which has been responsible for catching countless big carp over the years.

BASIX Wide Gape hooks are available in both Barbed and Barbless versions in sizes 2, 4, 6 and 8. Each pack contains ten hooks.
