Wide Gape is one of the most versatile hook types for carp fishing. When we developed this hook, we considered every single detail to make it as effective as possible. Wide Gape has a wide bend and a shorter shank, allowing the hook to easily catch in the carp's mouth. We bent the hook eye inwards, but only very slightly, so that the hook does not close too much when tied with various types of stiff braided lines or fluorocarbon. The overall shape and small details make the hook literally lethal among hooks. The hook is made from the best Japanese steel with a wire strong enough for large continental carp.
