ANKLE BONE SUPPORT SYSTEM

After many years of work, material study and testing, CRISPI® has developed the system dubbed A.B.S.S. from the English Ankle Bone Support System. The A.B.S.S. revolutionizes the comfort and protection of the entire ankle area thanks to a system of innovative materials, which combined allow the shoe to gently mold around the walker's ankle. This system guarantees maximum protection against sprains even on the steepest and most difficult terrains and, at the same time, supports the ankle in every situation and therefore limits the fatigue of the lower joints even after very long walks. The A.B.S.S. system represents a significant step forward in shoe construction, and CRISPI® dedicates this exclusive technology to its customers.

The secret of GORE-TEX laminates lies in its revolutionary two-component membrane. The expanded PTFE part contains about 1.4 billion microscopic pores per square centimeter. These pores are about 20,000 times smaller than a drop of water, but 700 times larger than a water vapor molecule. Thus, while water droplets cannot penetrate the GORE-TEX membrane, water vapor, i.e. sweat in gaseous form, easily escapes. The ePTFE structure also contains an oleophobic element (oil-resistant) which, without hindering the passage of water vapor, prevents the entry of substances such as oils, cosmetics, insect repellents or food substances. The result is a completely waterproof, windproof and breathable barrier.
