Aquaristica Aqua Digest — dehydrated heterotrophic bacteria on an organic carrier to remove organic waste, the oily film, and make the water crystal clear in 24 hours. Compatible with freshwater and saltwater.

▼ Main features

  • Heterotrophic bacteria specialized in breaking down proteins, fats, and complex organic substances
  • Removes the oily film visible on the surface
  • Reduces pollutants and makes the water clear
  • Slow-release organic carrier: the bacteria activate, grow, and remain attached to the filter media
  • Full effectiveness after just 24 hours
  • Suitable for freshwater and saltwater

▼ How it works

Aqua Digest completes the work of nitrifying bacteria (such as Bactiva): while these manage the nitrogen cycle, the heterotrophic bacteria in Aqua Digest break down proteins, fats, and all organic substances responsible for the oily film. The slow-release organic carrier ensures optimal activation and long-lasting colonization of the filter media.

Directions for use: insert into the filter according to the dosage indicated. For complete results, use in combination with Bactiva.

Expert advice: if you notice an oily film on the surface, cloudy water, or have overfed, Aqua Digest is the quick and effective solution. In combination with Bactiva, you get complete biological purification: nitrogen cycle + organic decomposition.
